Puki dolls fits in a 1:12 scaled world

February 27th, 2009 by Linda Gavin

Puki dolls are ball jointed resin dolls that fits perfect in a 1:12 scaled dolls house. They are sculptured by Cerberus Project and are mainly sold at FairyLand.

These dolls have flexible bodies with magnetic hands, heads and feet. It’s very easy to change hands, feet and faceplates. There are a wide range of different faceplates and hands to get for them.

I love Puki dolls. They are charming and are easy to photograph. If it weren’t for them, I probably wouldn’t be so interested in dolls houses as I am right now. I bought my dolls houses for them.

Some things you need to consider when you order a Puki
Do you want a doll with white skin or a natural skin colour? I prefer the natural skin colour. The white skin colour is very white and hard to photograph. But a lot of people love it.

Do you want your doll’s face to be painted by Fairy Land or do you want to send its face plate to a different faceup artist after its arrival? You can also paint it yourself, but it takes a lot of training to get a good result. (check “Faceup artists” at the link page in this blog) It will add some more weeks to your waiting if you chose to send it off to a faceup artist. The price for a puki-faceup can be anything from $25 to $200 depending on the faceup artists fee.

You might have to wait 3 to 7 weeks until you receive your doll. Triskel have had some dolls in stock in the past and it’s possible that they’re restocking them again so you can get your doll sent to you immediately. There are some different shops that sells Pukis, so it’s not a bad idea to google for puki retailers in your area before placing an order at Fairy Land. I have ordered from Fairy Land and Triskel Fantasy.

Preparing for your doll’s arrival
If you don’t order the full package, you might want wigs, clothes, extra eyes and shoes so your doll won’t have to be naked when it arrives. Anna Moschini has put together a great FAQ that is very resourceful. There are good info about Puki dolls at the Fairy Land website too. Please have a look in the manual to get a better understanding how their bodies work.

So nice to see puki info! The reason I’m so excited about getting my dollhouse is because of the pukis too.

yeah it’s nice for them to have somewhere to live. Much more fun to take photos of them in a more realistic environment.
